Create a playlist - iTunes Help
Edit a playlist
Choose the playlist and act up any of the following:
- Add items: Click Impart To
above the playlist, and drag items to the playlist.
- Switch the order of songs: Drag the songs into the order you want. If you ass't retarding force a song, click the pillar heading above the numbers.
- Remove an item: Take the item and press the Delete key (this does not remove the item from your library operating room fixed disk).
Cheers,

I have the same issue, but on Macintosh with Yosemite. I can't scuff and neglect any songs in a Play list.
I retrieve the following interesting : >>If you can't drag a song, click the column heading above the numbers.
So, why wouldn't you equal able to drag and drop a song? Sounds like a far-famed issue without a historical explanation.
You cannot drag and drop songs to a smart playlist, or a playlist folder, only to a regular playlist. Perhaps that is the issue.

ITunes 12.1 MacBook Pro -IPod. I No longer get a + whereby I can add a playlist to my iPod. Have dependable many suggestions and all the re-booting and workarounds I can think of. Any ideas? I think it is an Orchard apple tree trouble. Genius bar time?
Maybe I could live on back to another iTunes edition: Is there a room to load an older adaptation of ITunes now that I have the 12.1?
After many hours of work at trouble shooting, I re-stage set my iPod. Non to the maneuver of erasing everything, just the on-off switch of the hold button and restart. I then went through all of the iPod settings and made manual adjustments. Play list was not chequered (although I had done umpteen in the olden) and I checkered information technology.
Whatever part of that ready-made a difference, I tooshie now add playlists to my iPod (5th generation Nano, Yosemite Falls on MacBook Pro, 12.1 iTunes)
Download "Syncios" and then you can download the music from your iPhone to iTunes 12.
That is not the question. Are you selling this app?

Whatever it does, card about it in answer to a question about working with playlists in iTunes 12 seems - at the very least - inappropriately off-topic.
I have the similar issue as 21Seahunt.
I just updated my operational arrangement to be El Capitan and updated iTune to be 12.3.0.44. I found that it is quite annoying because I cannot manage my songs to the playlist I created. Healthy, I cannot add the songs to my arranged playlists. It doesnot reserve Pine Tree State to cause soh by selecting and dragging like I did in the originally iTune version.
For example: I create my Song's folder on my computer as Hits 2022, Hits 2022, Hits 2022 and each folder has about 200+ songs. I go to iTune to create playlist, same names As the songs' folder.
Ahead, I just hand-picked and dragged the songs from the folder to the play list I wants and it worked.
But with the iTune 12, I cannot do like that any longer. All I can do is to add all the songs to Depository library and then select and add songs to the playlist. I dont like this direction.
I need to update the songs on my playlist then sync to my iPod. I cannot do that if I cannot create and add the songs I want on iTune.
Therefore, your recommendation regarding to Pine Tree State offspring is highly grateful.
I'm not at my Mac at the moment only I will look late. I would represent surprised if it is not latent to drag and drop from the Finder to a play list.

Hmm, American Samoa expected no problem using drag & drop into a playlist on my Macintosh. You oasis't accidentally created a playlist booklet throw you?

Thanks for your response, tt2.
I dont remember I accidentally created a playlist leaflet because I followed its instruction in iTune.
First, I clicked happening the symbol + in the left corner of iTune window in grade to produce New Playlist.
Minute, I Ra-titled the playlist.
Third, I went to my songs' pamphlet, selected and dragged the songs I wanted to the playlist
Then, it didnot exercise (way it didnot go for the songs that I dragged in)
However, I did add all the songs to the library in order to store every last the song there. I have well-nig 5 playlists in different styles of music. If I add all the songs the program library so choose and drag song past song to the playlist. Information technology takes me ages to classify all the songs to my all playlists. I deprivation to avoid it.
You should be competent to retarding force & drop onto the playlist name in the left hand tower, or to the consistence area of the playlist. A blue border should appear ahead you LET disco biscuit.

I tested the drag and unload with a PC running Windows 10 and it worked. I created a new playlist called Test. Then dragged an mp3 file from the Microcomputer folder into the Test playlist using Windows File Explorer. A puritan border appeared every bit tt2 delineated. It also had a curved upward pointer and the word "Connexion" just outside the bottom properly hand corner of the box march. The song was inside a folder within where the iTunes Media Folder location is sic (in Advanced settings) and it already existed in my Medicine Library within iTunes.
I tested the same procedure with an mp3 charge from international the iTunes Media Pamphlet location is rigid and it did non work. This file did non already exist in the Euphony Library within iTunes. When I atomic number 75-tested this procedure, it worked. I Don River't know for sure why that happened but I may not have been in "cut play list" mood the first time. I tried and true IT again and it worked without having to be in "edit out playlist" musical mode the adjacent clock.
So it might help to make sure you are in "edit playlist" mode when first slow and dropping from PC folders to iTunes.
I am trying to lick how to restore my playlists that disappeared (different thread) and I mentation I Crataegus laevigata learn something by nerve-wracking these tests. It appears you can just copy folders and files into iTunes from PC folders but I am not sure they will be there again when iTunes updates.
